Fund Admin Manager  (FTE)


Cartica Sustainable solutions is building an operating platform as Software as a Service to provide value add services to Venture Capital and Impact fund managers.


 Job description

You will be part of the Client Services team providing best in class reporting services to Private Equity and Impact Funds, helping them solve their reporting bottlenecks by leveraging technology.


The role will involve coordinating the client’s reporting requirements, ensuring data quality and liaising with the technology teams to integrate requirements into the product suite.

As the software suite develops, your role would be to ensure the integrity of the data entered into the system, identify inconsistencies and follow up with key stakeholders to obtain required information on time to meet quarterly reporting deadlines.

You will monitor and raise reporting inconsistencies to the appropriate members of the team.


You will help engage and mentor one to two junior accountants to work with you and take responsibility for the Fund Admin team.


Please note: This is a start-up operation, and you will wear multiple hats and must adapt to an evolving situation over the coming months.


Qualifications and Industry experience

You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or ACCA-qualified and/or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.


You have at least three years’ experience in Fund Administration, preferably working Private Equity/Venture Capital funds.



You are autonomous, self-disciplined and can productively work with a small team, partially remote. Your direct reporting line is based offshore, and you must be comfortable interacting by Zoom/Teams several times a week.


You are proactive in seeing challenges ahead, engaging resources, and addressing problems head-on. You are not afraid to voice your opinion, share your insights and strive to streamline the process to benefit the customer experience.


You have a strong understanding of Excel and Data Management and are passionate about designing and implementing effective but realistic processes.


You can work under minimum supervision, possess a detail-oriented mindset, and be proficient under pressure.


You have strong organizational skills, understand project management and are interested by using technology to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies.


You are adaptable to change and thrive in an evolving environment and where new challenges pop up regularly. You enjoy the challenge and look to solve problems.


What we offer

  • Base salary of MUR 60k- 65k + 13th-month salary. Year-end bonuses based on performance and company metrics. Rapid advancement/promotion based on your ability to process and resolve challenges.

  • Flexible and managing work-life balance. No need to be in an office from 8:30-17h.

  • You can work partially remotely and only need to come to the office 3 times a week to maintain cohesion with the team. We offer additional flexibility for those with families or special personal circumstances.
