Social Media Manager (FTE), Mauritius - June 2022


Job description

As Social Media Lead, you'll be bringing your social media enthusiasm and intricate knowledge of the ins and outs of all social media platforms and community hubs with a strong focus on LinkedIN, Twitter, and Instagram to the team.


You will be required to commit 40 hours a week (full-time basis) and meet your team members in the office primarily around Moka 2-3 times per week, with the flexibility to work remotely as required. 

You will take ownership of the social media management for the following platforms:


*GenZ Web3 projects

*Business/SaaS project


  • Experience managing community development and social media.

  • Knowledge in Market Analysis, audience mapping, use of Media planning tools to analyse necessary elements for a recommendation.

  • Expertise on how to leverage different social platforms and community channels to drive growth, engagement, and business goals.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven track record in community management and social media.

  • Writes and speaks fluent English.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and shape the firm's projects' social media strategy across LinkedIN, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

  • Grow the company’s community across these platforms, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

  • Coordinate day to day editorial content calendar executions including excellent copywriting, asset coordination and publishing to all relevant brand social channels.

  • Create designs on canva to post on social platforms.

  • Lead the creation of community-focused campaigns (Facebook business manager, Twitter Ads, Google Ads) that drive acquisition, retention, engagement, and business goals for the company.

  • Engage with the community and lead DMs for company’s social platforms.

  • Perform research on different projects undertaken by the company.

  • Manage one or more Junior social media analysts.


You are autonomous, self-disciplined and can productively work with a small team, partially remote. Your direct reporting line is based offshore, and you must be comfortable interacting by Zoom/Teams several times a week.


You are proactive in seeing challenges ahead, engaging resources, and addressing problems head-on. You are not afraid to voice your opinion, share your insights and strive to streamline the process to benefit the customer experience.


You have a strong understanding of Excel and Data Management and are passionate about designing and implementing effective but realistic processes.


You can work under minimum supervision, possess a detail-oriented mindset, and be proficient under pressure.


You have strong organizational skills, understand project management and are interested by using technology to streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies.


You are adaptable to change and thrive in an evolving environment where new challenges pop up regularly. You enjoy the challenge and look to solve problems.


What we offer

  • Base salary of MUR 35k- 50k (based on experience)+ 13th month +Health plan+transport allowance. Year-end bonuses are based on performance and company metrics. Rapid advancement/promotion based on your ability to process and resolve challenges.
