Video Editor  (FTE), Mauritius - June 2022

Job description

We are looking for a Video Editor to edit, arrange and publish pre-recorded video interviews for the web. Your role would be to work in Adobe Premiere (or some similar video editing platform) and prepare pre-recorded video conversations primarily from Zoom, to the public on social media by editing for length, flow and user attractiveness. 

You are expected to have basic graphic design skills to help the team with simple design related tasks such as editing and enhancing svg or eps files for the web.

You will be involved with assisting in providing content for one or more of the following platforms as part of a small team:

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit Interview format videos for the web and take a proactive role in editing to ensure viewer retention.

  • Add transitions, correct sound, reduce the length and other basic video editing skills.

  • Support the Social media and Development team as needed with the creation/enhancement of content for social media or to be incorporated into websites. 

  • Take ownership of Video Editing and hosting platforms such as Vimeo and VEED and organize and structure media assets for the group.

  • Act as the internal creative resource for the team.

Requirements

  • A formal qualification in Video Editing, with a University Degree, is preferred in the field of Film and Video Production, Graphic Design or Digital Arts.

  • At least 1 year of proven professional experience

  • A demonstratable portfolio of content online to review.  

 

This is a plus, but not an absolute:

- Interest in UI/UX and ability to provide guidance.

- Knowledge of blockchain and its applications to media.

What we offer

  • Base salary of MUR 35k- 45k (based on experience)+ 13th-month +Health plan+transport allowance. Year-end bonuses are based on performance and company metrics. Rapid advancement/promotion based on your ability to process and resolve challenges.

  • You can work partially remotely and only need to come to the office in Moka 2-3 times a week to maintain cohesion with the team. We offer additional flexibility for those with families or special personal circumstances.
